Oman Ministry of Education visits HCC

Five delegates from the Oman Ministry of Education were at HCC on September 30 as part of a trip to examine educational guidance and career counseling in the United States. Invited under the auspices of the Department of State's International Visitor Leadership Program, the delegation was hosted by the World Affairs Council of Western Massachusetts during their visit to the region.

Dean of Cooperative Education and Career Services Terri Howard provided information on HCC's cooperative education program and the value of work experience in helping students make informed career decisions. Career Center Coordinator Richard Powers provided an overview of HCC's comprehensive career search software and online tools.

In addition to HCC, the delegates visited Smith College and several public and private high schools.
