Wigs for Kids Cut-aThon at HCC
Donate your ponytail, get a haircut, help children with hair loss!

When children lose their hair, whether as a result of medical treatments, health conditions, or burn accidents, they don't just suffer physically. The change in their appearance can drastically undermine their self-image and sabotage their self-esteem. But there IS help, and its name is Wigs for Kids, a nonprofit organization serving children suffering from hair loss.
On Wednesday, May 6, from 9 a.m.-3 p.m., Holyoke Community College’s Unity Club will host its fifth Wigs for Kids Cut-a-Thon on the patio behind the college’s Frost Building. Professional stylists Barbara Paulo and
Scott Cousineau
of Northampton's Shear Extreme salon, and independent stylist Anne Molinari, will offer a free haircut and style for anyone wishing to donate at least 12" of hair... and a $10 haircut for all others! Get gorgeous for a great cause! There will be free prizes, raffles, and lots of fun. The goal is to raise at least $1,500, the cost of a custom hair prosthetic for one child. All proceeds will benefit Wigs for Kids.
