Favorite thing about teaching:
My favorite thing is when students start to discover that their academic work can affect their lives in profoundly satisfying ways.

Memorable moment at HCC:
1) Getting the final "Open Assignments" from the 098 and 102 classes I      teach.
2) Watching the final presentations from the Creative Writing for the      Theatre class in the acting lab.
3) Accompanying HCC's team as they won a multi-college "Poetry Slam" at     Westfield State.

My philosophy is to ask the question, "What is a meaningful experience?"
