Favorite thing about teaching:

Those “teaching moments” that take place as often as we allow them to.

Teaching philosophy:

Every moment of the day is a “teaching moment”.  Every person in a classroom (or any room for that matter) is someone we can learn from.   Lifelong learning cannot be avoided without expensing a great deal of energy in the pursuit of doing so.

“The sign of a great teacher is that your student surpasses you.”

- Gale Gand

"Education is the most powerful weapon.   You can use it to change the world."  - Nelson Mandela

“Teaching is like many other skills.  Some people are born with exceptional teaching talent while many of the rest of us fall into the “average” category.  But as with other skills, individuals can learn to become good and even excellent teachers.  However, it does take work.” – Diane Heestand
