HCC reaffirms its policy of equal opportunity regardless of race, color, creed, religion, national origin, sex, sexual orientation, age, marital status, disability, or status as a disabled veteran or Vietnam era veteran. HCC offers open admissions to most programs and applications are processed in the order they are received. Most programs do not have an application deadline, but we suggest submitting your application well in advance of the semester in which you wish to enroll. This gives you more time to complete assessment testing, apply for financial aid, and choose from the best selection of courses.
HCC has an open admissions policy; all who have at least one of the following qualifications are welcome to enroll in non-selective programs on a space available basis:
Based upon their assessment results and program objectives, students may be admitted and required to take developmental courses.
Admission to HCC does not guarantee admission to all programs. In addition, special admissions requirements and application deadlines have been established for selective programs which require that students possess prior college-level skills and knowledge. If you’re interested in becoming a registered nurse, licensed practical nurse, or radiology technician, a separate application is required.
HCC encourages applicants to consider applying for financial aid. If possible, please apply before the May 1 priority deadline. For more information or assistance, contact the Financial Aid Office (413) 552-2150
