THE HCC ANNUAL APPEAL 2009

HCC students need your help like never before. In light of the state’s cuts to HCC’s budget and the daunting economic scenario facing us, the Annual Appeal 2009 is focused on raising funds from donors for the student textbooks, equipment and technology for classrooms and labs, and other student-related needs that arise during the year. Annual Appeal donors are assured that 100% of their contribution will be used to directly benefit HCC students.

Scholarships, grants, and financial aid do help HCC students afford the quality education they receive, but too often the gap between aid and need is too wide for students to bridge. It is very discouraging when a student simply can’t afford to cover the costs of books and related courseware.

But you can help. Your contribution to the Annual Appeal will enable us to provide the necessities HCC students need in order to succeed, academically and in the workforce.

Through the years generous donors have allowed us to purchase pianos and musical instruments for music practice rooms, digital media and sound equipment for the theatre and electronic media labs, electronic light boards, Mannequins for nursing, microscopes and scales for lab work, stainless steel tables for the culinary programs, equipment for fine art and photography classrooms and much more.
