The Kittredge Center for Business and Workforce Development is the Pioneer Valley's premier resource for workforce training, professional development, and personal growth. It provides innovative and affordable programming that helps businesses, organizations, and individuals achieve their goals.
In addition to housing HCC's popular business, science, technology, engineering, and math (BSTEM) programs for career or transfer, the Kittredge Center's "smart" classrooms and state-of-the-art training facilities, meeting, and conference rooms are available for use by companies and community organizations.
Made possible through a remarkable $1 million gift from entrepreneur Michael Kittredge '73, founder of Yankee Candle Company, the 57,000 square-foot facility opened its doors in 2006. It was designed to advance the college's commitment to business programming for students, as well as for the region's employers and workforce.
Through generous donations from businesses and individuals in the Pioneer Valley, the building was furnished and equipped with cutting-edge technology. In addition to its 10 "smart-technology" computer labs/classrooms, the Kittredge Center is the first public building in New England with a "Green" roof.
