Each student enrolled in the day division of the College is assigned
to a faculty or staff member for the purpose of academic counseling.
Each academic advisor is familiar with the processes that help students
fulfill their academic requirements. Together, during the preregistration
periods in the fall and spring, the advisor and the student plan
the student's program of study. However, the final responsibility
for selecting courses fulfilling graduation requirements rests solely
with the student.
Students are required
to see their assigned advisors early in the fall and to maintain
communication with them during their attendance at the College.
Information regarding advisor assignments can be found in the Registrar's
Office (Frost 221) or the Academic Affairs Office (Frost 321).
Evening students may meet
with an academic advisor as often as they want. Students should
call (413) 552-2950 or stop by Frost 223 to make an appointment.
Students may also receive advising by phone and e-mail.
