Using Wikipedia

Wikipedia, an online encyclopedia, has been a controversial source of information for college level research. One of the co-founders of Wikipedia, Jimmy Wales, discusses what he feels is the appropriate use of Wikipedia (mp3 audio file) in college-level research. He believes that Wikipedia can be a good starting point for research but would not be something that would be cited as a resource. This is a short excerpt of a longer talk given in 2007.
