The Center for Academic Program Support (CAPS) offers free assistance for all HCC Students in DON 240. CAPS’ three centers include: Tutoring, Writing/ESL, and Math. Centers are open the entire year during the day and in the evening, and services are free to all HCC students. Study groups and ongoing study skills workshops are also available. The Tutoring Center provides drop-in service for subject-specific tutoring in all subjects offered at HCC. You may either see an available tutor immediately or make an appointment up to two weeks in advance.

The Math Center

At the Math Center, you’ll find tutoring, on a drop-in basis, for college math courses and math topics related to science, business, health and other fields.
Online math tutoring (http://webtide.hccdl.org) and the Math Help Desk (413) 552-2423 are available to students enrolled in math courses. The center also provides help preparing for the College Placement Test (CPT) and the Nursing Entrance Test (NET).

The Writing Center provides professional and peer tutors to assist with any college course writing assignment. Assistance includes brainstorming, organizing materials for your paper, drafting, research and documentation, and much more.
