DOWNTOWN HOLYOKE
The HCC Adult Learning
Center at CareerPoint on High Street In Holyoke (ALC) offers evening
Basic Literacy, Pre-GED and GED Preparation classes that are free
and focus on reading, writing, math, reasoning, decision making
and test taking skills, as well as GED subject area knowledge. An
initial assessment, pre- and post-tests are also provided along
with GED Practice Testing for qualified students.

LUDLOW
The Ludlow Area Adult
Learning Center (LAALC) is a community-based ABE program that offers
5 levels of English (True Beginning, Beginning, Intermediate, and
Advanced) for speakers of other languages. Four classes are held
in the evenings, 2 times a week, from 5:30 - 9:00pm and two classes
are held in the morning. The LAALC also offers individual or paired
tutoring for those who cannot attend evening classes as well as
computer skills workshops, assistance with citizenship issues, and
transitioning learners to college. All learners receive career counseling,
academic counseling, and referrals as needed. Located at 221 East
Street in Ludlow, the center is open Monday through Thursdays from
12noon to 9:00pm and until 2:30pm on Fridays.

MAIN CAMPUS
Community Services offers
GED Preparation classes throughout the year. Classes meet
twice per week for 11 weeks in the evening. Classes are 2 hours
in length. There is no wait list and pre and post testing are included.
To register, come to the 2nd Floor Lobby Desk at the Kittredge Center.
