Center For Academic Program Support (CAPS)
The Center for Academic Program Support (CAPS) provides free assistance to all HCC students. CAPS' three centers include: Tutoring, Writing/ESL, and Math. Centers are open the entire year during the day and the evening. Study groups and ongoing study skills workshops are also available. Additionally, CAPS provides specialized academic programs such as Supplement Instructions (SI), Learning Coaches and Mentoring.

We are committed to honoring all people as well as developing and maintaining relationships throughout our campus and the surrounding community. Both innovative and traditional styles of teaching and learning are applied across the curriculum. Our services and support are provided to all in a timely, respectful and consistent manner.
The Tutoring Center provides free, one-on-one or small group tutoring in all subjects offered at HCC. You may see an available tutor immediately or make an appointment up to two weeks in advance. Tutoring addresses understanding course content, reading textbooks, preparing for tests, writing papers, and more.
The Math Center offers free tutoring for any college math course and math topics related to science, business, health, and other fields.
The William Dwight Jr. Writing Center provides free professional and peer tutors to assist with all college course writing assignments. Assistance includes organizing materials for your paper, drafting, research and documentation, and much more.
