HCC has over 50 active clubs and organizations. Students with common interests can form a club by writing a constitution, recruiting ten members and an advisor, and being approved by the SGA; clubs must do community service to retain their charter. Clubs have access to funds, travel, and programming opportunities. Clubs provide opportunities for leadership development and community development; their primary purpose is to help students have fun, make connections and learn beyond the classroom.

Clubs fall into three categories: academic , interest , and identity . Membership in all clubs is open to all students. Contact Liz Golen at 552-2060 for more information about any of the clubs, or to discuss forming a new one.

Some annual club events include the:
• Business Association’s NYC trip
• Music Club’s Jazz Festival
• Photography Club’s Washington DC trip
• ASL Club’s Silent Pizza nights
• Unity Club’s Wigs for Kids Drive
• Asian Students Club's Asian New Year Celebration
• Drama Club’s Mainstage productions and one-act plays.

In addition, the Phoenix Press student newspaper publishes four issues each semester while Pulp City Literary Magazine publishes annually each spring. WCCH, the campus radio station, is “on the air” almost 120 hours each week.
