HCC to honor distinguished alumni

Financial planner Patricia Grenier, of East Longmeadow, and author Anna Bozena Bowen, of South Hadley, will be honored May 1 at the 37th Annual Holyoke Community College Distinguished Alumni Awards Dinner and Scholarship Benefit.  

Grenier, '77, is the co-founder of BRP/Grenier Financial Services in Springfield, Mass. Bowen, '90, is a poet, writer, nurse and author of the novel HATTIE.

Each year, the Holyoke Community College Alumni Association and the HCC Foundation recognize two distinguished alumni for their professional accomplishments and community service. 

The awards dinner and benefit will be held Thursday, May 1, at The Log Cabin, 500 Easthampton Road, Holyoke, Mass. A social hour from 5-6 p.m. will be followed by dinner from 6-7 p.m. and tributes to the award winners beginning at 7 p.m.

The dinner is open to the public and is a benefit event. Proceeds will fund scholarships for Holyoke Community College students through the HCC Alumni Association Scholarship Fund. Ticket prices begin at $50 per person; sponsorship tickets range from $65 to $1,000 per person.
