Natalie Galindo, a defensive midfielder for the HCC's women's soccer team, has been named an All American by the National Junior College Athletic Association for the 2015 season.
Galindo, an early childhood education major, earned NJCAA Division III first-team All-American status and also made first team All New England (All Region).
A graduate of Chicopee Comprehensive High School, Galindo led the Lady Cougars this season in all offensive categories: goals (15), assists (8) and points (38).
"Natalie is a tremendous player," said HCC athletic director Tom Stewart. "She racked up team-leading offensive numbers from a primarily defensive position. She is a smart player and a good leader, a very strong physical presence and very competitive. She has a laser shot and can score goals from great distances."
Galindo played every minute of all 20 games this season and ranked in the top 20 nationally in NJCAA play in both goals and points.
She scored a goal in each or the team's post-season victories, scored two late goals versus regional rivals and helped lead the team to victory in the New England Championship.
She is HCC's 16th All American in women's soccer, Stewart said.
