The new graduates, joined by family members, teachers, classmates and friends, ate food catered by La Veracruzana and listened to a speech from Holyoke Mayor Alex Morse.
The 22 high school students come from Springfield, Holyoke, Longmeadow and Palmer. Together, they earned a total of 507 college credits, the equivalent of six associate degrees.
Julienne Muhawenimana came through the Ludlow Area Adult Learning Center, Milton Rivera through the Adult Basic Education Transition to College and Careers program.
The five-person, silver-medal-winning team took part in the competition at the 2012 American Culinary Federation's Northeast Regional Conference in Niagara Falls, N.Y.
