How to access Moodle

   Before attempting to login to Moodle, make sure your computer is ready by performing a Browser Tuneup. Follow the directions on the Browser Tuneup page. The Browser Tune-Up is not automatic: you must follow the directions and make manual adjustments to your browser. These settings will only be effective on the computer that the tune-up was performed on.
   
   Please use the recommended Firefox browser. If you do not have it, you can download it here.

   To login to your course/s click on Moodle Login. When prompted, enter your user name and password. Your user name is the first initial of your first name plus your entire last name plus the last 3 digits of your Student ID number, all in lower case. Your password is your date of birth (DOB) in the mmddyy format. During your initial log in, you will be asked to create a new password. Try to minimalize your HCC passwords by making them the same.
   
   Example: 
   Jessica Smith, Student ID# 123789456, DOB Sept. 12, 1988 
   UserName: jsmith456 
   Password: 091288

    

Please Note: Online accounts are not ready until 5 days before the semester begins even if you have taken an online course previously.

Moodle Login

If you are new to Moodle, after logging in it is suggested that you enroll yourself in the Student Orientation course - Moodle 101. This course will provide you with the basic tools that you will need to navigate a course in Moodle. Instructions will be listed on the main page after logging into Moodle.

Professors using Moodle as an online companion to their traditional on-campus course(s), will notify their students when they will have access to their course(s).
