During the school year, Upward Bound tutors and the counselor meet
regularly with students at their high schools. Tutoring sessions are
held weekly at each school.
The Holyoke Community College Upward Bound program also provides
afterschool activities and courses, which utilize the HCC’s
science labs, art studios, computer labs, and other specialized
facilities. Both enrichment and skill-building courses are offered.
Bus transportation to the campus is provided by the program.

school personnel to ensure continued academic progress. The role
of parents in promoting student success is particularly important
