Free Speech and Civil Discourse Task Force
The Independent Commission on Civility and Free Speech was convened in 2005 to review the college's commitment to all tenets of civil discourse. In the summer of 2006, the commission issued a report that recommended, among other things, the establishment of a Task Force on Free Speech and Civil Discourse. That task force will be chaired by Vice President for Student Affairs Doreen Larson and will lead the campus in examining the Independent Commission's report, and in making recommendations for implementation to the president.
