Building on its tradition of access, HCC now brings its programs and faculty to you via online learning. Using the Internet, the World Wide Web, and email, you can earn course credit away from campus.

HCC utilizes WebCT for its online learning system. WebCT is an integrated online learning environment used by over 2,000 colleges and universities worldwide. More than just a course tool to facilitate distance learning, WebCT allows students to integrate course experiences into the real world communities of work and play. It features elements that help students succeed both in their coursework and lifelong learning opportunities.

There are three types of WebCT courses at HCC: Full Distance Learning (all on-line), Brick & Click (half online and half live traditional classes), and Onsite Companion (courses that use web-based information in addition to live lecture). Please check with your instructor to see if he/she is utilizing WebCT. Information on setting up your computer and how your ID and password are derived can be found at: http://webtide.hccdl.org/.

Please complete the Advising Form for assistance with course selection or general academic advising questions.

Email us at dladvising@hcc.edu or call (413) 552-2236 and you will have an answer within hours.

Nearly all of our degree and certificate programs have a significant number of required courses that can be completed online.
