Activation of Services

Welcome to the Office for Students with Disabilities and Deaf Services activation page. This is where you officially request a classroom note-taker or an electronic verison of your textbooks, if your OSD/DS learning specialist or another program on campus has approved you for these services. To activate Note Taking Services, you will need the following information:

3. Day
4. Building
5. Room
6. Instructor

This information is available on your schedule. Only include courses in which you need a note taker.

Do you want to know what courses need note takers?

To activate alternative book services you will need the following information:

1. Title
2. Author/ Editor
3. Edition
4. Publisher
6. Course
7. Instructor

The first five of these items should be on the first few pages of the book. You must fill out a separate request for each book that you need, and allow four weeks for your order to be completed.

You must purchase your books in order to be provided with a PDF file version. The HCC bookstore will have a listing of materials required in each of your classes. Online students may also opt for electronic texts if one is not provided with the course and they meet the criterion (approved for and activated services and purchased print copy.)
