Let's Cook
Explore the new HCC MGM Culinary Arts Institute.
The kitchens are open, and the ovens are on. It's time to cook.
Classes officially began Monday, Jan. 22, with the start of the spring semester at the new HCC MGM Culinary Arts Institute, a $6.43 million, 20,000 square-foot, state-of-the-art culinary education and training facility in downtown Holyoke.
HCC staff, faculty, and trustees got a sneak preview of the new facility during a "Taste of the Space" event Tuesday evening, where an assorted menu of small plates were prepared by Culinary Arts students and alumni using the new kitchens for the first time.
"We are so excited," said student Behnam Alimirzaei, who prepared mushroom crepes. "Everything's brand new. New building. New equipment. New technology. It's beautiful."
