  • Days & Times: Mondays - Thursdays, 9 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.; Fridays 8 a.m. - 12:30 p.m
  • Duration: 4 weeks hands-on training  (approximately 120 hrs total)

WHAT

In this four week, in-person program, learn how to air seal, install weather stripping, insulate, control moisture, and properly vent buildings. Develop real world, hands-on skills, using professional tools and props to air seal as well as install cellulose and foam insulation in the basements, attics, and walls of homes. Learn how these weatherization steps reduce energy costs by increasing the energy efficiency of buildings, while ensuring health and safety. Free access to CareerSafe’s online OSHA 10 construction safety course & credential test are included. Friday training focuses on job readiness and career development skills.

ELIGIBILITY

+ 18+ yrs of age and authorized to work in the U.S.
+ Demonstrated willingness to seek employment in weatherization, clean energy fields, or building trades                        + Able to start PT/FT work following training                                                      
+ Able to complete OSHA 10 Construction Safety Training online & outside of class; Course and laptop access provided + Participate in 1:1 Career Counseling during & after the program; up to 1 yr    
+ Have a high school diploma or GED/HiSET

+ Participate in intake exams and interviews
+ Pass a sex offender background check (SORI)
